Oh Girl - You Got A Thirsty Face

I'm not going to lie, turning 30 in exactly 86 days is not something I'm typically excited about. I feel like it's the beginning of the end for me... First grey hairs, then adult diapers. I'm being dramatic...I know.
I do think that since I am going to be a true adult now (because 30 is when that happens) I need to further develop my skin care regimen. First things first.

I have learned that healthy skin is developed from the inside out. I know my face is a particularly thirsty girl, because I don't drink much water. Women's Health Magazine states that water does many things, but a healthy glow is just one of them. Aside from that glow, there are a lot of behind the scenes work that water does. According to this article, water is a natural skin plumper that decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. What does that mean for me? It means I will be sitting in a corner chugging my gallon of water with a straw in all my free time.

Aside from up-ing my water intake - big time, I have come across a great moisture combo.
Philosophy's Hope in a jar , has been the best moisturizer I've tried. It's extremely hydrating and keeps my face rather quenched. I have naturally oily skin, and have wrongly thought for many years, that moisturizers would just add to my oily problem. With lots of reading, I've realized that isn't the case. My moisturizer has actually helped control the oil on my face, despite what I originally thought.
To take it to the next level though, I add a couple drops of Josie Maran Argan Oil into my moisturizer regimen at night. This combo is a dream-team and together creates a Super Serum! This bottle of oil typically lasts me a year, because a little goes a long way! I also use the oil on my hair, nails and cuticles.
Cheers to me stepping into 30 with a gallon of water, and a fresh face!
